A large number of enterprise applications use the service for locating addresses and businesses and for location tracking. The service plays a key role within the HERE organisation.The underlying data is used in virtually all of the leading navigation systems in both North America and Europe. Our customers rely on our digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the implementation and sustainment of our Geocoding functionality to improve the quality for address matches of our Geocoder,as well as to mediate between Scrum teams and the Release Dev Ops team. As a key member of our Agile Geocoding Team, you will work together with Testers, Scrum Masters, Requirements and Release Engineers and Product Owners on-site, in Berlin, Boston or Chicago.Under limited supervision, you will be responsible for implementing and sustaining key search components for analyzing, retrieving and ranking the most suitable results. Your technical expertise will find ample opportunities to get engaged in technical and conceptual refinements of the components and the architecture, contributing to the requirements definition of all modules and technologies.You want to follow, automate and innovate our documented software development, integration and release process and naturally mentor and coach less experienced team members globally on technical matters. Implement, innovate and review software component and technologies to the latest standards Conduct and automate unit and integration testing of developed code Conduct root cause analysis of software and system defects, incl. reporting and follow-up on issues Produce and publish release packages and notes Maintain and run tools to support, enhance and automate the software product release process Generate, monitor and maintain Baseline Audit and Configuration Item Version Control Collect and analyze results against the defined validation criteria Review sub-system process and data models and dynamic interactions Administration,supporting and Bug fixing in the GC AWS environment Monitor architectural/design conformance of implementation with project teamRequired Qualifications and Skills Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems Excellent working expertise of software engineering with Java (5+ years) In depth working knowledge and expertise in at least one architecture domain and how design choices impact the architecture up and downstream Very good working / administration experience in Linux - preferably centos 6.x Extensive experience using and administrating version control management tools (e.g. SVN, Artifactory) Extensive experience using, developing & administrating of build server system Bamboo & Jenkins Extensive experience in developing / administrating & supporting AWS based server environments and the necessary scripting languages like Json in combination with CLN, Ruby, etc Advanced experience in configuration management tools (puppet) Proficient oral and written English language skills Knowledge about Search Engine Technologies, such as Lucene, is preferredAn excellent environment to develop your skills and career.
