Title: Sr. Logistics Analyst Location: The Netherlands (Maastricht) Grade: 11   Position Summary   The Freight Audit & Pay (FAP) analyst is the subject matter expert accountable for managing the FAP process. The selected candidate requires an inquisitive nature with strong analytical skills and will be tasked with acquiring & consolidating data from several sources (i.e FAP systems, ERP, etc.).   Effectiveness in this role requires routine interfaces with the Logistics team, factories, carriers, and/or suppliers; as well as working cross functionally with Buyers, Planners and other Strategic Sourcing personnel.   The role provides a logical career path for those interested in pursuing an operations, finance or a logistics management position.   Key Areas of Responsibility   • Management of the end-to-end EMEA Freight Audit and Payment (FAP) process for NCR to ensure adequate business controls are in place, to ensure efficiency of processes, and ensure high volume going through FAP • Management of the EMEA Freight Audit and Payment provider, to ensure accurate auditing, timely payments and accurate data archiving of invoicing data. • Lead, coach and mentor coworkers working in the EMEA FAP team. • Maintenance and oversight of the EMEA ad hoc shipping process as it pertains to the FAP process. • Drives ongoing analysis utilizing FAP databases to determine underlying causes of freight trends and provide recommendations for improvements for EMEA Region. • Develops and/or applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal FAP processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce cost. • Interact with various internal organizations to address FAP issues. This includes understanding NCR’s EMEA Supply Chain in order to speak with various internal operations teams about impact on FAP. • Leads projects to implement new carriers/suppliers into the FAP process, drive the implementation of changes/process improvements, and monitors results. • Develops and/or provides fact-based, strategic and tactical performance metrics for the FAP process • Review reports and prioritize work based on data in reports • Perform aging analysis from reports for invoices for EMEA in order to prioritize work • Help resolve invoices with rating, coding or other issues that prevent them from going to payment Minimum Qualifications:   • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business (with emphasis in Logistics/Supply Chain Management), or related discipline. • 5 - 7 years progressive Transportation & Freight Cost Management, Logistics, Supply Chain and/or Operations processes and systems. • Experience and understanding of rates, accessorial charges and taxation knowledge a plus. • Carrier/supplier interaction experience. • Quantitative analysis skills, with a proven hands-on experience with MS Excel, with exceptional data handling skills. Should be able to efficiently and effectively handle/manipulate data from multiple sources, including utilization of data query tools such as: MS ACCESS, Brio/Hyperion, Business Objects, SQL, Crystal Reports, etc . • A working proficiency in accounting and/or experience with accruals expense. • Excellent communication, business, analytical, and problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills. • Effective project management skills/capabilities; including the ability to work as part of a team. • Ability to indirectly influence and lead cross-BU and/or cross-functional teams, including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or with outside professionals. • Strong English language skills (both written and verbal)   Preferred Qualifications:   • MBA, with five or more years supply chain experience; with practical work experience in Logistics, Operations Research, Manufacturing, or Engineering • Solid working knowledge of logistics and inventory strategies & practices, including a record of negotiating and implementing contracts. • Exceptional quantitative analysis skills; including a working proficiency in accounting, corporate supply chain, procurement, quality, and/or process management experience • Competency in and working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma • APICS or ISM Certification (e.g., CPIM, CIRM, CSCM, C.P.M.). • Solid logistics experience and working knowledge of Import and Export regulations for U.S. and international shipping. • Working knowledge of and experience with ERP systems     Visit our careers site for a list of the benefits offered in your region in addition to a competitive base salary and strong work/family programs.   EEO Statement Integrated into our shared values is NCR's commitment to diversity.
